Our Mission
To partner with young people and the community to create safe, supportive, and inspiring places and programs.
We can help
Three programs. One mission.
Safe housing and real support for young people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness in Tasmania. Every program is built around the individual.
Crisis Support • Ages 13-20
Karinya Crisis Accommodation
Emergency short-term accommodation for young women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We provide a safe, supported environment in a time of urgent need.
Tenancy • Ages 16-24
Karinya Youth Transitional Tenancy (KYTT )
Young people facing homelessness may be eligible for a home of their own, supported by our dedicated team as they work toward independence.
Young Mums • Ages 15-19
Karinya Young Mums (KYM)
Accommodation and support for young pregnant women and young parents who are homeless or at risk. Funded by the Tasmanian Government.

Karinya Pantry
At the start of 2025, food security became a growing challenge for the young people in our care. The Karinya Pantry was created in response — a practical, compassionate way to ensure access to free, nutritious food in a safe and welcoming environment.
Every Donation Counts
Your support changes lives.
Your contribution extends beyond immediate needs — it's an investment in the future of young individuals working hard to overcome challenges and build a better life.
What we believe
Built on values, not just services.
We believe there is hope and opportunity in every young person, no matter their circumstances or where they've come from.
We act with kindness in everything we do — towards the young people we support, their families, and each other.
Every young person deserves to feel safe. We work hard to make sure that's true in every space we create.
We take our responsibilities seriously. To the young people in our care, to our community, and to the trust placed in us every day.
We're always looking for better ways to support young people — flexible, responsive, and open to what works.
Ready to make a difference?
Whether you want to donate, volunteer, or simply spread the word — every bit of support helps a young Tasmanian find their footing.
